First Graders at Long Cane Primary in Abbeville read “How
Animals Communicate” by William Mounoz from their Journeys reading book The
students then extended their learning with an Animal Research Project. Each
student worked with their family to learn interesting facts about an animal
they selected. Susan Scott’s First Grade students made a brochure to document
their learning. The students then shared their reports with their classmates.
