Lander University Early Childhood Education major, LeeAnn Berry, is working with Susan Scott’s First Graders at Long Cane Primary in Abbeville. Ms. Berry assisted the students as they learned about spiders using their Scholastic News. The students learned the parts of the spider’s body. They collected data as they completed a class tally chart to show “Do you think spiders are creepy or cool?” The students were excited to find out that more students thought spiders were cool. Shown are standing are Emma Prince, and Bria Johnson beside LeeAnn Berry. Back row seated: Lindarius Gray, Jaylin Hill, Terrance Payne, and Layne Harrison; Row 2: Ella Busbee, Levi Little, Corde Wharton, and Kalin Foggie; Row 3: Chase Henez, Giddeon Tackett, and Jonathan Rausch; Front row: Tielle Killingsworth, Blaine Vickery, Tristin Freeman, and Cate Dunlap.
