JCCE Career Fair
The students of JCCE enjoyed engaging, hands on presentations from various local businesses. The JCCE Counseling Department, Counselor, Mrs. Cade along with Intern and 5th Grade teacher, Mrs. Nance, would like to thank all the organizations who participated: Abbeville County Career Center’s: Nursing Students, Cosmetology Students, and Robotics Program, Abbeville County Library, Abbeville County Bloodhound Team, Abbeville EMS, Abbeville and Calhoun Falls Fire Departments, First Bank of Calhoun Falls, Angela’s Bazaar, Cindee’s Hair Salon, Lake Hartwell’s Corps of Engineers, and Clemson 4-H Extension. AHS FBLA Donates to March of Dimes
Members of Abbeville High School Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) chapter raised and donated money to March of Dimes on March 28, 2018. Future Business Leaders of America-Phi Beta Lambda, Inc. (FBLA-PBL) is the largest career student business organization in the world. Its mission is to inspire and prepare students to become community-minded business leaders in a global society through relevant career preparation and leadership experiences. Students in Mrs. Gail Johnson's first grade class worked in groups to make a bunny cake. They learned about shapes, fractions, goods & services,and team work. Linda Phillips and Rhonda Miller donated their time and talent to assist students.

AHS FBLA Wins Awards at State Leadership Conference
Abbeville High School FBLA wins six awards at State Leadership Conference. Abbeville High School Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), in its first year, received six state awards at the 2018 South Carolina FBLA Leadership Conference which was held at the Charleston Convention Center on March 16-17, 2018. Winners of state competitions were as follows: Benjamin Thomas - Coding and Programming – 1st place Angelina Ellis – Introduction to Business Procedures – 2nd place John Gilchrist - Introduction to Business Procedures – 3rd place Tasia Brown – Help Desk – 3rd place Connor Nickles and Griffin Lewis – Sports and Entertainment Management – 4th place The above students qualified to compete in their event at the National Conference in Baltimore, Maryland this summer.
