WMS students in Mrs. Marilyn Schwartz SC History classes worked really hard on a project and entered a Flocabulary Shout-Out Contest (where they shout out your school at the beginning of their new video). They had to design a monument for someone they felt deserved one and then write a rap or poem expressing why that person was deserving of a monument! Of all the schools and students that submitted from across the country, the WMS 8th grade submissions were selected as the winners! They designed some amazing monuments and the poetry they wrote to go along with them was impressive! Flocabulary is a website that uses music and videos to engage students with content information. Here's the link to the video where they shout out WMS with pictures of the kids who won if you want to check it out! (only the first 10 seconds) |
