Long Cane Primary’s 2^nd grade students participated in a mock election.  Students registered to vote, campaigned for their candidates, and cast their ballots.  Abbeville’s Mayor Sarah Sherwood announced the winner while introducing the students to our local government system.  Pictured is Jontavious Mathias casting his vote with principal, Dr. Charles Costner, manning the poles.
