During the month of December, Westwood Elementary students learned the importance of “Joy”. Joy is finding a way to be happy even when things don’t go your way. “Real joy comes not from ease or riches or from the praise of men, but from doing something worthwhile.” – Sir Wilfred Grenfell. The following students were chosen to represent each homeroom class for portraying the trait of “Joy”. Congratulations to: 3rd Graders – Kyla Brown, Sonni Rae Brewer, Jamal Marshall, Rylee Dansby, Pearl Patel, Ky’Zerias Rayford, Gia Mentis, and Jamarcus Martin; 4th Graders- Bailey Shaw, Tytianna Cousar, Jaedyn Owens, Alley Sammons, Tyveriah Brown, and Talissa Cannady; 5th Graders- Ambria Gilliard, Shelton Burton, John Gilchrist, Joshua Elliott, Kobe Burdette, and Daneshia Bryant.
