First Grade students in Mrs. Gail Johnson's class
learned about taking care of the earth by collecting trash on the playground.
Students worked with a partner to see who could find the most trash. Together,
they collected almost one pound of trash. To help learn more about Earth Day,
they read The Giving Tree, and
then went outside to hug a tree to show how much they love and care for the earth.
